The holiday apartment is located on a hill, which makes the view from the terrace of the surrounding mountains stunning. It only takes a few minutes of walking to get to the town centre - you can choose one of the charming passages between the houses of the old quarter, known as the Bario Arabe, where cats lazily glance at passers-by basking in the sun.

Velez de Benaudalla is a lively town, with bakeries selling sweet pastries in addition to bread, including regional roscas and pestinias. On the main street there is a traditional vegetable market offering fruit and vegetables from the surrounding fields and orchards, wonderful ripe avocados and exotic fruits that ripen in the mild climate of the Costa Tropical - mango, persimmon (kaki) and pitaya. The locals' attachment to tradition is reflected in the care they give to their historical monuments. The most important of these are the Castillo Arabe, a reconquista castle towering over the old town, and the Jardin Nazari park on the opposite side of town. The Jardin Nazari, which was founded by Arab rulers in the 12th century, is full of colourful flowers, lush shrubs and trees at all times of the year, and the rocky caves, formed naturally by the action of water, amaze the eye. Several hiking trails lead from the town, which can be followed either on foot or by bicycle. Nature is thriving thanks to the abundance of water that flows down from the mountains and feeds the Guadalfeo river, whose canyon cuts through the half-tall rock massifs just outside the town.
