We are a family run business which has been growing rapidly since Summer 2007. The company is the creation of Tila and Michelle Braddock. The concept of Lanzarote Retreats developed from Tila and Michelle´s desire to offer stylish & eco-friendly holiday accommodation, mainly in and around Arrieta, a stunning, rural village in the North of the island, which they love and where they brought up their family. These days the business is run by Joshua, their eldest son. From organising car hire, arranging days out, providing child and nursery equipment to recommending restaurants and beaches, the team at Lanzarote Retreats have over 20 years of experience of living, working, entertaining children and enjoying Lanzarote. Balcón Botánico is a poolside apartment and one of four holiday homes set within the main house of Tiagua81, a restored traditional Canarian Finca. The apartment features pool views from its first-floor bedroom balcony, super king-size double bed, and kitchenette, fully equipped with essential cooking basics, a hob, and a microwave, ensuring your culinary needs are met. For communal enjoyment, there’s a shared terrace by the pool with a barbecue for outdoor gatherings, sun loungers for leisurely afternoons, and a beautiful garden. Additionally, the property surprises with extra communal indoor spaces. A glass-covered, roofed traditional Canarian courtyard offers a unique and atmospheric setting for relaxation, adorned with comfortable seating where you can unwind. Furthermore, the property’s original water tank, the “Aljibe,” has been transformed into a subterranean library room, providing a quiet and immersive space for reading or contemplation. A further laundry room with space to store some bikes is complete with an ironing board and washing machine for your convenience. Whether you’re drawn to the warmth of the courtyard, the poolside barbecue, or the underground tranquillity of the library, our studio apartment ensures a memorable and authentic Canarian experience. Although there is no air conditioning or central heating in the property, fans and portable heaters can be provided . Situated in Tiagua village in the centre of the island, you are away from the resorts but only 10 minutes from Famara beach, Historic Teguise and capital city Arrecife. A car is strongly recommended for this property. Balcon Botanico sleeps a maximum of 2 adults.Children and infants are not accepted but are in rhe 2 bedroom Bodega Cottage.
