Casa Hoopoe is a beautiful four-bed roomed detached villa with breathtaking sea and mountain views over the entire island of Lanzarote, from the coast of Arrecife on the South side of the island to the coast of Famara on the North side with even a view of Fuerte Ventura in the distance through the mountains and valleys. It boasts a lovely 8 x 4m bean shaped heated pool on a terrace overlooking the rest of the village and the island. The property offers complete privacy. It has been decorated in Manrique style touches of white, wood and Ratan with numerous artistic touches!
Michael and I had been coming to Lanzarote for years and had fallen in love with the island long before we made our dream come true of buying a place of our own. Primarily as a holiday home for ourselves, to come and get some wonderful R & R, we decided to share it with our friends, and family, and you all since it is such a special place. We are fans of Manrique's architectural vision for the island and have attempted to reflect his style, inviting nature into the house wherever possible.
Guests love the oasis that is Nazaret in the middle of the island, a little bit removed from the hustle and bustle of the coastal areas, much more residential and quiet, but with easy access in 15-20 minutes to all the island has to offer. Nazaret is close to Teguise, and you can walk to the Sunday market from the house and take in the breathtaking views across the entire island... Our house is a minute away from LagOmar, which I believe is the most beautiful architectural design that Manrique left on the island.
