HOLIDAY HOME WITH AUTHENTIC SPANISH CHARM. Spacious, traditional village house with air conditioning, surrounded by nature and with spectacular mountain views. Guests can relax and enjoy the large 30m shared village swimming pool (with toddlers area) and bar, open in the summer months mid-june to mid-september. Ideal to enjoy rural Alicante and the fabulous beaches of Oliva-Denia only 23 km away. IDEAL FOR Lovers of nature, wellness, cycling, hiking, mountains and the sea. Families and group holidays seeking healthy living and local gastronomy. La Carroja is one of the 8 small villages in the valley, perfect for both active rural tourism and relaxation. It is surrounded by olive groves and orange, almond and cherry trees, flowering at different times of year with outstanding natural beauty. THE HOUSE Casa Lola is very well equipped and perfectly comfortable to visit and enjoy all year round. It has a high volume fibre WIFI connection and parking is easy in one of the two village plazas close to the house. Plenty of outdoor space with spectacular views to enjoy, with first and second floor terraces and a ground floor patio and garden area. It's ideal for outdoor cooking with the 'Weber' portable barbecue and paella-making facilities.
We are Ana and Daniel, passionate about nature and active, eco-friendly tourism, sharing those special moments with family and friends. We have recently completed an extensive restoration of the house and garden area to maintain its traditional Valencian and historical features, including a decorative clay oven (it does not function). The house is well heated in winter with a large chimney fireplace in the lounge, pellet Biomass heating, air conditioning and wood-burner heaters. The kitchen is well-equipped with dishwasher and opens directly into the patio and garden area. The bedrooms are large with plenty of natural light and there are three bathrooms and shower-rooms, one one each floor. The second floor has a large quiet area perfect to use for group yoga, pilates and meditation sessions. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Bakery and two general stores reached in less than 5 minutes. Large supermarkets and services closeby in the town of Pego. Family dogs are accepted with prior approval on acceptance of house rules at an additional cost of 25 Euros per pet per stay The large municipal swimming pool (and infant pool) in the village is a perfect place to chill out for the whole family and is 200 metres from the house. It opens during the summer months (the end of June to the start of September) and has wonderful views of the local mountains and valley. It is a shared (not private) pool area with bar facilities and a lifeguard pool attendant during the opening hours (11:00-20:00 daily).
