Buñol invites visitors to immerse themselves in nature and explore places of breathtaking beauty. Noteworthy are the Buñol river, Juanes river, and Mijares river, as well as the surroundings of the Cueva Turche, Cueva Alta, and Cueva de Carcalín. These are routes filled with natural pools of spectacular beauty. Lakes such as the Jarra area and the Peñones feature a cave called the Natural Bridge, which can be crossed during dry seasons and is adorned with stalactites and stalagmites. Throughout this area, the river is gorgeously sandwiched between massive stone walls that are a delight for climbing, spelunking, and hiking enthusiasts. Detailed maps and signs are available to guide the way. The Juanes River forms the baths of the same name and includes the Cueva de las Palomas, and further down, the waterfall of Cueva Turche, where water plunges 60 meters into a lagoon. Lastly, the Mijares River originates in an area of significant environmental value: El Fresnal, which, as its name suggests, hosts a considerable population of this species. Along with the Moratillas and the Fuente De la Umbría, it is one of the last strongholds of the inland Mediterranean forest in the Valencian Community. The river then flows down to the village of Mijares, which belongs to Buñol, and shortly after, its waters merge into the Magro river.
