Cortijo Berruguilla Casa Rural is a traditional restored Andalusian cottage. Nestled among the sunny olive groves of Granada province, Cortijo Berruguilla offers two semi-detached rural apartments with a pool. Both apartments have been completely renovated and fitted with modern bathrooms and amenities. During the restoration, we tried to preserve the rustic charm of the old cottage and echo the Moorish history of the nearby Montefrio castle and its surroundings. From May to September, our guests can enjoy the private swimming pool.
We are a small family-run enterprise and hope to share with you our passion for nature and active lifestyle. We love travelling, reading, and gardening. Our guests are welcome to participate in various agricultural activities around the year.
Cortijo Berruguilla is positioned in the centre of Granada province on the historical Caliphate Route with even distance between Cordoba and Granada. Nearby you can visit famous Moorish castles in Montefrio, Alcala la Real, Moclin, and Priego de Cordoba. We are 1.15 mins from the famous Alhambra in Granada and 1.30 mins from Mezquita in Cordoba. Hiking Cortijo Berruguilla is located in the mountainous area surrounding Montefrio. There are wonderful scenic trails right outside our house. We’d be happy to show you less popular routes through the olive groves and the forest. Agritourism Cortijo Berruguilla is located in the Spanish countryside. Our neighbours are farmers. They grow grains, fruit and vegetables, keep farm animals, and tend to their olives. If you’re interested in rural life, we’d be happy to show you the farms and involve you in various seasonal activities on our land. Yoga We can arrange for professional yoga classes with a certified yoga instructor for all levels of yoga practitioners. The classes can take place by the pool area, on your private terrace, or indoors. Please contact us in advance to check availability of the instructor and her prices.
