You may be wondering about my name... I was called after Don Quixote's imaginary love, and I live in the most famous village featured in the novel, where I was born. Always moved by sustainrability, health and environment, I studied MS Eng in Chemical and Processing Engineering. After 14 years working in process safety and research, I reached a point in my career, while I was Safety Studies Director in London, when I began to wonder if that was all there was to it. I wanted more. But more what? Coaching helped me answer some difficult questions, and finally 2 years later, I decided to take a leap of faith. I stepped out of my comfort zone and started an amazing adventure. I changed my career path to a greener one, to raise awareness among my neighbours, in and around my village. In the 12 years I lived abroad, I learned from more conscious cultures and individuals, who were already living, eating and travelling sustainably. All this shaped the vision and values of Dulcinea's Retreat, focusing on more ethical holiday habits, energy-smart accommodation, wellness activities, and healthy eating. A delicious inner journey. Where are we? 90 minutes from Madrid, and 80 minutes from Toledo, Cuenca, Albacete and Ciudad Real, with easy access by motorway to the vicinity of El Toboso. If you prefer public transport, we recommend the regular SAMAR bus line from Madrid, with several services a day. Our neighbourhood, marked by the literary Cervantes and Calderón de la Barca Streets, and Arch and Main Squares, is the heart of El Toboso. Active during the day, restful at night. The loft is located above biofood's showroom, with discounts for our guests. Free parking is available in Arch Square and Calderón de la Barca Street. All landmarks, monuments, museums and local parks are within 5 minutes walking distance.
