La Chumbera are two apartments typical of the area that are located in a private urbanization with communal gardens and swimming pool. It is next to nature at the entrance to the town of San José. It is a very quiet and comfortable place because it is very well located to access both the village beach that is just 5 min walk on the flat, and the most beautiful beaches (Genoveses and Monsul) of the Park at 3 km. There are also some service establishments such as supermarkets, bars, even the typical flea market on Sundays in summer. I have decorated the apartments with a lot of love and details so that you feel that you are on vacation. Couples and families love the location. There is free WIFI. They are equipped with washing machine, flat screen TV and air conditioning in almost all rooms. The apartments have an outdoor pool from May until October 15.

I'm Isabel. I live in Granada in winter because I am a ski teacher from my own school (Happy Ski) in Sierra Nevada for 20 years. In summer I live in San Jose because there I also have a company of guided tours in kayak for the natural park (Happy Kayak). Together with my husband Nacho, we have been making everyone happy for 14 years. La Chumbera was our home at the beginning of our adventure in Cabo de Gata. That is why it is a house with a lot of love and in which we have been very happy and now we want to share it with you. The house is in a very quiet urbanization surrounded by nature and with some very close services such as supermarkets, bars, restaurants ... An ideal place to unwind and relax. If you have children it is also perfect, because they love being there.

The apartments are ideal for relaxing after a wonderful day at the beach or just being there is a pleasure because they are very welcoming.  If you decide to go to the beach of the town of San José there you will find services of all kinds. There is even a small marina with very good restaurants. You can also practice water sports such as kayak routes or boat trips. In the afternoons, the seafront is filled with a flea market in summer and the shops in the town are very nice. We also have a place with swings for the little ones and a delicious ice cream at sunset is a pleasure. If you decide to investigate the virgin beaches of the Park, I recommend that you first observe the direction of the wind (Levante is from where dawn and Poniente from where it dusk). Cabo de Gata is a park in which it is sometimes windy, but if you choose the beach well, this will not be a problem, since we have 65 km of virgin coast with many sheltered beaches. If the wind is too strong to lift, the closest beach is ideal to get to Cala Higuera. If the wind comes from Poniente Fuerte, the ideal beach is the Embarcadero en los Escullos.
