Casas de Millán is a small village located in the Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve, near to historical and monumental cities like Cáceres, Plasencia, Mérida and Trujillo. It’s a privileged environment to enjoy both the native fauna and flora. An essential habitat for black vultures, numerous birds of prey and countless summer and winter birds of passage come together here: white and black storks, cranes, hoopoes, bee-eaters... Also mammals, such as deer, roe deer, foxes, wild boars and other small settlers. Without forgetting the rich heritage of dragonflies in our land. And at night, a starry dome covers the sky to offer us one of the places with the best light quality for astronomical observations. Walking along its routes becomes a pleasure for nature lovers.
