Our newly renovated two bedroom apartment is in a charming part of the old town, right next to the beach/marina, with the entrance in a narrow pedestrian street off the Placa d’Espanya, where there is an open air shopping precinct. The apartment is accessed through a common entrance lobby, where there are stairs up to our front door, which is on the second floor. Key access is via a lockbox as the owner does not live in the same building. However, help and advice is just a phone call or text away. A second flight of stairs takes you the the private roof terrace which is for your exclusive use. Although it’s absolutely at the centre of the old town and close to the bars and restaurants of the sea front, it’s remarkably quiet, both day and night, with no through traffic allowed in the narrow streets. Important: only registered guests are allowed in the apartment, and no visitors are permitted, unless approved in advance.

The Placa d'Espanya is right across from the apartment. This hosts a regular farmers’ market with fresh local produce, all within a short walk from your front door. Small specialty shops around the square sell fresh cheese, locally produced fish, meat, bread, vegetables, wine and flowers, as well as high quality clothes, shoes and handbags. There are two small supermarkets, as well as a wide choice of restaurants and coffee shops with outside tables that stay open to the late evening. It's like a delightful small village with narrow alleys and unexpected, hidden squares ... it's the original town of Blanes, with lots of preserved charm. The the beach is just 500 metres away, with soft sand, clear waters and, at the marina, the chance to rent paddle boards, small dinghies and even take a sailing lesson on a full size yacht.
