The house was designed and built by the wonderful architects Clara Sola-Morales and Eduardo Cadaval to best capture the stunning views overlooking the Mediterranean, France and the Cap de Creus national park. Each of the bedrooms as well as the en suite bathroom have different and amazing views from floor to ceiling windows that give the impression of being on the deck of a boat while being on the comfort of dry land. The architects, one of whom practically grew up in the village, also designed the house to be as user-friendly as possible as a house to be used rather than simply looked at.
I'm British but I work in The Hague with my Australian wife and two children. I've studied, lived and worked in various countries but love to call El Port de la Selva home where we come whenever we can.
The house is nestled between the gorgeous Cap de Creus National Park and the pretty fishing village of El Port de la Selva. There are many beaches around to enjoy, as well as hiking and water sports. The area includes many vineyards to taste the high-quality and varied local wine as well as many restaurants serving every palate.
