If you need a little more than spending sunny days around your pool or at the beach, here are a few suggestions of alternative things to do. Skywalk: If you enjoy walking and great views, the Pasarela Cabo Santa Pola is a skywalk bridge situated on the cliff tops near Santa Pola lighthouse and overlooks the panoramic view of the Costa Blanca coastline and the island of Tabarca. The skywalk is located Here You can access the bridge via the pathway which starts at the end of Av D’Escandinavia Here There is room to park here if you have a car. Alternatively you can take the road train and get off at the stop just before the start of the path Here Tabarca Island: situated just off the coast of Santa Pola, Tarbarca is the smallest inhabited of Spain’s islands. It is a protected marine reserve and is surrounded by beautifully clear waters. Tarbarca is a very popular tourist attraction and can be reached via a regular ferry service from the shores of Santa Pola. Visit Santa Pola: Santa Pola is the parent town to Gran Alacant and is just a few km down the coast. This is a former fishing village and is now renowned for a tourist area with miles of golden sandy beaches. If you have a car, the most scenic route to Santa Pola is via the coastal road ‘Camino del Cabo’ which starts Here The road follows the coastline for 5.5 miles and takes around 20 minutes. Once in Santa Pola, be sure to go to the marina which has recently been developed to include many new Cafes, bars and restaurants. You can also get to Santa Pola by bus.
