Saariselän Kuukkeli is a family-owned company that has been operating for 40 years. We have been accommodating travelers visiting Saariselkä for 20 years. Most of our properties are located in and around the center of Saariselkä, but we also have accommodation options elsewhere in Lapland, including Ivalo, Inari, Vuotso, and Sodankylä. Our signature feature is our log cabins made of kelo wood. These kelo houses provide an authentic atmosphere, but without feeling outdated, as they are well-furnished and fully equipped. Kuukkeli is a brand with a vision to fulfill all the wishes and needs of our guests. In addition to accommodation, we also operate "Kuukkeli Shopping Center" in Saariselkä. This shopping center is the gem of Saariselkä. Within our shopping center, you will find our new elegant restaurant, Bistro & Cafe Kuukkeli, a gift shop called Kuukkeli Shop, an outdoor equipment and clothing store named Kesport, our accommodation reception, the rental service Kuukkeli Rental Shop, an activity sales office, luggage storage and transport service Taxi Kuukkeli. Additionally, we house Saariselkä's only grocery store, K-Market Saariselkä. With everything under one roof, you’ll find everything you need for your holiday! We offer a wide range of activities, including northern lights hunting, cycling tours, snowshoeing adventures, and an entirely new concept called the Sauna World. This unique experience, inspired by a beloved Finnish tradition, grants you access to a sauna house featuring two large electric saunas, each with separate dressing rooms and wash facilities, a spacious indoor heated swimming pool, and a cozy lounge area with a fireplace. On the back terrace, you’ll find the legendary smoke sauna, a heated hot tub, and a refreshing cold plunge pool.

Kuukkeli Apartments Tokka is a traditional Lapland-style accommodation building made of sturdy pine logs, featuring a total of six cozy and relaxed apartments. It is located 700 meters from Kuukkeli Shopping Center. Each apartment includes a comfortable living area, a combined kitchen-living space, and a sleeping alcove for two people. The sofa in the living area can be used as an extra bed for two guests. Additionally, each apartment has a private bathroom/WC and a clothes drying cabinet. Pets are welcome in this accommodation for an additional fee. Parking is available in front of the nearby Kuukkeli Hirvas house. Guests also have access to a traditional log-built sauna in the Hirvas building, with a reserved daily sauna session for each apartment. In the basement of Hirvas House, guests can also use a heated ski maintenance room and a washing machine. Breakfast is served at Bistro & Cafe Kuukkeli from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Saariseläntie 1, Kuukkeli Shopping Center. In the Saariselkä area, the reception, key pick-up, and return for all accommodations are located at Kuukkeli Shopping Center, at Saariseläntie 1, 99830 Inari. The office is open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and late check-in is possible after 9:00 PM.

Saariselkä is located 250 km north of the Arctic Circle and it is one of oldest tourist centers in Finland. In Saariselkä there is plenty to do, see and experience at all seasons, all year round. The snowy winter season is from November to early May. The sun sets in the darkness of November's Polar Night, but when the sun rises in spring, you can enjoy Nightless Night most of the summer. Taxi Kuukkeli picks up and takes you both near and far, and drives airport transportation. UK-National Park's outdoor hiking trails start next to almost all Kuukkeli´s accommodation sites. In winter, Saariselkä's well-maintained network of ski tracks are almost in total 250 km. Saariselkä Ski & Sport Resort's 20 slalom ski slopes and 6 lifts offer variety for moving around on skis, and it's always worth trying Finland's longest sledding hill which is approx. 2000 meters long. The fell scenery is breathtakingly charming in all seasons, and while moving in the ground, you can also listen to the silence of true Lapland's nature. It is very easy reach Saariselkä - the nearest, Ivalo Airport is only 20 minutes by car there is good flight connections via Helsinki to everywhere.
