Saariselän Kuukkeli is a family-owned company that has been operating for 40 years. We have been accommodating travelers visiting Saariselkä for 20 years. Most of our properties are located in and around the center of Saariselkä, but we also have accommodation options elsewhere in Lapland, including Ivalo, Inari, Vuotso, and Sodankylä. This shopping center is the gem of Saariselkä. Within our shopping center, you will find our new elegant restaurant, Bistro & Cafe Kuukkeli, a gift shop called Kuukkeli Shop, an outdoor equipment and clothing store named Kesport, our accommodation reception, the rental service Kuukkeli Rental Shop, an activity sales office, luggage storage and transport service Taxi Kuukkeli. Additionally, we house Saariselkä's only grocery store, K-Market Saariselkä. With everything under one roof, you’ll find everything you need for your holiday! We offer a wide range of activities, including northern lights hunting, cycling tours, snowshoeing adventures, and an entirely new concept called the Sauna World. This unique experience, inspired by a beloved Finnish tradition, grants you access to a sauna house featuring two large electric saunas, each with separate dressing rooms and wash facilities, a spacious indoor heated swimming pool, and a cozy lounge area with a fireplace. On the back terrace, you’ll find the legendary smoke sauna, a heated hot tub, and a refreshing cold plunge pool.

The two Kuukkeli Apartments are located on the upper floor of the Kuukkeli Saariselkä Inn building, accessible via a spiral staircase. The apartments have a private entrance from the upstairs lobby. Kuukkeli Apartments Studio 1 features two adjacent beds, a private bathroom/WC, an open-plan kitchen, and a dining area. This apartment is suitable for two guests. Kuukkeli Apartments 2A has two bedrooms, each with a double bed, a private bathroom/WC, an open-plan kitchen, and a living area with sofa beds. In total, this apartment can accommodate up to six guests. Both apartments have a daily reserved sauna session in the building’s sauna area. The dressing room of the sauna area includes a fireplace. A washing machine is available for guests in the sauna area. Additionally, there is a heated ski maintenance room for shared use. In the summer, guests can also enjoy a private outdoor terrace with an electric grill. Pets are allowed in these apartments for an additional fee. If you don’t feel like cooking during your holiday, you can enjoy a delicious and affordable breakfast or other meals at Bistro & Cafe Kuukkeli, located at Saariseläntie 1, Kuukkeli Shopping Center. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The reception/office and key service for all Majoitus Kuukkeli accommodations in Saariselkä is located in Shopping Center Kuukkeli, in the Siula building, at Kiveliöntie 8, 99830 Saariselkä. Majoitus Kuukkeli's office is open Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. If you arrive after 5 PM or on the weekend, detailed check-in instructions can be found in your booking confirmation. If your estimated arrival time is later than Shopping Center Kuukkeli’s opening hours (daily from 9 AM to 9 PM), please inform us in advance.

Saariselkä is located 250 km north of the Arctic Circle and it is one of oldest tourist centers in Finland. In Saariselkä there is plenty to do, see and experience at all seasons, all year round. The snowy winter season is from November to early May. The sun sets in the darkness of November's Polar Night, but when the sun rises in spring, you can enjoy Nightless Night most of the summer. There you can get almost everything you need on your vacation, just under one roof. UK-National Park's outdoor hiking trails start next to almost all Kuukkeli´s accommodation sites. In winter, Saariselkä's well-maintained network of ski tracks are almost in total 250 km. Saariselkä Ski & Sport Resort's 20 slalom ski slopes and 6 lifts offer variety for moving around on skis, and it's always worth trying Finland's longest sledding hill which is approx. 1800 m long. The fell scenery is breathtakingly charming in all seasons, and while moving in the ground, you can also listen to ... the silence of true Lapland's nature. It is very easy reach Saariselkä - the nearest, Ivalo Airport is only 20 minutes by car there is good flight connections via Helsinki to everywhere.
