Come and enjoy peaceful Lapland nature and the beautiful scenery of the Kemijoki River at our Arctic River View Cabin. The cabin is located 16 km from Rovaniemi city center. There is no public transport, but you can park your car for free in the yard, and in winter, an electric socket for engine heating is available. The cabin, completed in December 2025, comfortably accommodates two guests in a 160 cm wide double bed. Children are welcome, but there is no extra bed option. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, and a handy air fryer–microwave combo – perfect for preparing simple holiday meals. The bathroom has a toilet and shower. Bed linen and towels are included in the price, and for longer stays we can provide fresh ones for an additional fee. From the yard, you have a stunning view of the Kemijoki River, and with a bit of luck, you can experience the Northern Lights through the panoramic window. Please do not walk on the river ice, as strong currents make it unsafe. Nearby (1,5 km) you’ll find Jokkavaara with outdoor trails and ski tracks in winter. A short drive away is Ounasvaara Ski Resort for downhill skiing and other winter activities. In winter, we also make a small ski track in the yard and leave skis for you to try cross-country skiing at your own pace.

We have lived by the Kemijoki River for several years and enjoy offering travelers the chance to experience Rovaniemi beyond the city center. The river is beautiful in every season: in summer its surface sparkles in the sun, in autumn the birches along the shore glow with fall colors, and in winter they wear a white coat. We love spending time outdoors and often explore nature with our dog. We hope you enjoy the cabin and these surroundings as much as we do.

Just a 20-minute drive from the cabin, you’ll find Rovaniemi city center with its restaurants, shopping centers, museums, and everything Lapland’s capital has to offer. Popular attractions include Arktikum, Korundi, and Science Centre Pilke, where you can explore Lapland’s culture and learn about our forests. Santa Claus Village is also nearby – a place where you can meet Santa all year round. The nearest grocery store is in Saarenkylä, about a 15-minute drive away.
