Saariselän Kuukkeli is a family-owned company that has been operating for 40 years. We have been accommodating travelers visiting Saariselkä for 20 years. Most of our properties are located in and around the center of Saariselkä, but we also have accommodation options elsewhere in Lapland, including Ivalo, Inari, Vuotso, and Sodankylä. Our signature feature is our log cabins made of kelo wood. These kelo houses provide an authentic atmosphere, but without feeling outdated, as they are well-furnished and fully equipped. Kuukkeli is a brand with a vision to fulfill all the wishes and needs of our guests. In addition to accommodation, we also operate "Kuukkeli Shopping Center" in Saariselkä. This shopping center is the gem of Saariselkä. Within our shopping center, you will find our new elegant restaurant, Bistro & Cafe Kuukkeli, a gift shop called Kuukkeli Shop, an outdoor equipment and clothing store named Kesport, our accommodation reception, the rental service Kuukkeli Rental Shop, an activity sales office, luggage storage and transport service Taxi Kuukkeli. Additionally, we house Saariselkä's only grocery store, K-Market Saariselkä. With everything under one roof, you’ll find everything you need for your holiday! We offer a wide range of activities, including northern lights hunting, cycling tours, snowshoeing adventures, and an entirely new concept called the Sauna World. This unique experience, inspired by a beloved Finnish tradition, grants you access to a sauna house featuring two large electric saunas, each with separate dressing rooms and wash facilities, a spacious indoor heated swimming pool, and a cozy lounge area with a fireplace. On the back terrace, you’ll find the legendary smoke sauna, a heated hot tub, and a refreshing cold plunge pool.

Kuukkeli Log Houses Teerenpesä is a Lappish-inspired and atmospheric accommodation house built from large logs. There is a total of 10 comfortable rooms along the common corridor. Twin bedded room has an ensuite bathroom. In addition, the room has a desk and chair, a mirror, a wardrobe, a refrigerator, a large flat-screen TV, a radio/CD player, hairdryer and a electric kettle. There is also complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and milk powder in individual packages. A microwave oven and a coffee maker are available for shared use in the entrance hall. The Kuukkeli Log Houses Teerenpesä has a house sauna for shared use. Each room has a its own private sauna time and a general use time each for women and men. There is laundrette and drying cabinet as well as a warm ski maintenance room. Pets are not allowed to stay here! In summer and autumn, front terrace has an electric barbeque grill for guests use. Free public parking is possible on site without reservation. There are parking spaces with an electric hook up at the right end and in front of the house. Breakfast is served at Bistro & Cafe Kuukkeli from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Saariseläntie 1, Kuukkeli Shopping Center. In Saariselkä area, all the destinations of Majoitus Kuukkeli have reception/office and accommodation keys pick up/return located in Shopping Center Kuukkeli, at Saariseläntie 1, 99830 Inari. The office is open Mon-Sun from 9 AM to 9 PM. If you arrive after 9 PM, checking in won’t be a problem. You will receive detailed instructions for late check-in in your booking confirmation. If your estimated time of arrival is later than Shopping Center Kuukkeli's opening hours (every day from 9 AM to 9 PM) or please let us know in advance.
