Saariselän Kuukkeli is a family-owned company that has been operating for 40 years. We have been accommodating travelers visiting Saariselkä for 20 years. Most of our properties are located in and around the center of Saariselkä, but we also have accommodation options elsewhere in Lapland, including Ivalo, Inari, Vuotso, and Sodankylä. We offer accommodation in every price category. What attracts customers to our properties is their uniqueness—each location is one of a kind, regardless of price. Our signature feature is our log cabins made of kelo wood. These kelo houses provide an authentic atmosphere, but without feeling outdated, as they are well-furnished and fully equipped. Kuukkeli is a brand with a vision to fulfill all the wishes and needs of our guests. In addition to accommodation, we also operate "Kuukkeli Shopping Center" in Saariselkä. This shopping center is the gem of Saariselkä. Within our shopping center, you will find our new elegant restaurant, Bistro & Cafe Kuukkeli, a gift shop called Kuukkeli Shop, an outdoor equipment and clothing store named Kesport, our accommodation reception, the rental service Kuukkeli Rental Shop, an activity sales office, luggage storage and transport service Taxi Kuukkeli. Additionally, we house Saariselkä's only grocery store, K-Market Saariselkä. With everything under one roof, you’ll find everything you need for your holiday! We offer a wide range of activities, including northern lights hunting, cycling tours, snowshoeing adventures, and an entirely new concept called the Sauna World. This unique experience, inspired by a beloved Finnish tradition, grants you access to a sauna house featuring two large electric saunas, each with separate dressing rooms and wash facilities, a spacious indoor heated swimming pool, and a cozy lounge area with a fireplace. On the back terrace, you’ll find the legendary smoke sauna, a heated hot tub, and a refreshing cold plunge pool.

Kuukkeli Log Houses Teerenpesä - Premium Suite A 48 is a high-quality log house. This property is a two-bedroom corner apartment featuring a beautiful and spacious living room with a stunning fireplace. The fully equipped open kitchen also includes a wine cabinet. The sleeping arrangements in the suite are as follows: one bedroom has a 180x200 cm motorized bed with a 7 cm thick Tempur mattress topper. The other, slightly more spacious bedroom, has a 160x200 cm bed and a private bathroom. The corner sofa in the living room can be extended into an additional bed measuring 140x210 cm. The suite comfortably accommodates up to six people. Adding to the luxurious experience, the suite has its own spacious sauna section, featuring a large sauna for eight people and a bathroom with two showers. In total, the apartment includes two bathrooms and three toilets. From the sauna dressing room, there is access to the suite’s private, large outdoor terrace of 90 m², which features a hot tub. During the summer, the terrace is fully furnished, including a dining set for ten people and an electric grill. The suite has a private entrance, and a parking space is available in front of the accommodation building. The entrance hall includes a storage area for skis and luggage. The ski trail starts right behind the house, and the entire building shares two ski maintenance rooms and a drying room for outdoor clothing. Breakfast for guests is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Bistro & Cafe Kuukkeli, located in the Kuukkeli Shopping Center, approximately 350 meters away. Breakfast and other meals can also be delivered directly to the suite. Pets are not allowed in the suite, and smoking is prohibited inside the apartment. In Saariselkä area, all the destinations have reception and accommodation keys pick up/return located in Shopping Center Kuukkeli, at Saariseläntie 1, 99830 Inari. The office is open Mon-Sun from 9 AM to 9 PM. Check-in is possible after 9:00 PM.
