Brand-new log cottage, Santa's Reindeer Holiday Home, is the perfect place to watch the Northern Lights and admire the adorable reindeer—of which we have plenty! It’s located 18 km from Ranua village center, 16 km from Ranua Zoo, and 80 km from Santa Claus’s hometown, Rovaniemi. Bed linens, towels and final cleaning are included in the price. Welcome! Tervetuloa!
We speak English, Finnish, Ukrainian.
You can experience the beautiful Finnish autumn, or “Ruska.” Summer and autumn are filled with mushrooms and berries, such as cloudberries (Lapland gold), blueberries, and lingonberries. Reindeer often stop at the nearby field to graze, and you can spot squirrels, rabbits, and birds just by sitting on the terrace. The nearest lake beach is about 5 km away, and a small river close to the house is rich in perch and pike. In summer, we offer various kayak trips. This place is also ideal for biking, trekking, and hiking—just don't forget to bring mosquito repellent! Our additional services in winter include Aurora hunting, snowmobile trips, snowshoeing experiences, and visits to a local reindeer farm. If you’re lucky with the solar wind, you can witness the most incredible natural show—the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis—from the end of August until March, right from the yard.
