Relax in a charming, freshly renovated cozy apartment. The original wooden floors and a brick wall uncovered during the renovation take you on a journey back in time—without sacrificing modern comfort. This soulful apartment is located in a house built in 1939, right in the heart of Karkkila, close to excellent services and local attractions at Högfors ruukki and Kino-Laika. The apartment features a bright living room with a wide Familon double bed, a separate office/guest room with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private bathroom. Towels and bed linen are provided. You’ll also enjoy free WiFi and a private parking spot in the courtyard for one car. Getting here is easy—Karkkila is just about an hour’s drive from Helsinki, and less than 70 km from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
Hello and welcome! I warmly welcome you to an apartment I’ve renovated with great heart and love. I truly enjoy renovating and coming up with creative solutions – my goal was to create a space where you can relax, listen to music, get inspired, and recharge in the middle of everyday life. I’ve lived in Karkkila for about three years now, and I’m still enchanted by the town’s unique atmosphere. I’ve been especially touched by the historic Högfors ironworks area and its vibrant cultural scene and events. That’s why I recently joined the Ala-Emali cultural association to become part of this active community. Travel has always been a part of my life, both professionally and personally, and it brings me joy to share this special place with others. Welcome to relax and discover your own moment in Karkkila!
The apartment is located right in the Karkkila city center, just a short distance from the historic Högfors ironworks area. There, you can explore the Factory Hotel, museum, and the Ala-Emali restaurants and boutiques. In the evenings, head to Kino Laika – the local movie theater and bar – for a film or a drink. Also nearby are the charming wooden house district of Fagerkulla, the Pyhäjärvi beach, and the riverside trail for hiking and enjoying nature’s peace.
