This beautiful and historic house is the birth place and childhood home of the famous author Jørgen Frantz Jacobsen 1900 to 1938, and is still the home of his relatives. Jørgen Frantz is the only faroese author to achieve international bestseller status. He was one of five Faroese writers, all born between 1900 and 1903, who represented a remarkable blossoming of literature in a country which had no tradition of literature in a modern sense. The house was built in the late 19th century. It was fully renovated and modernized in 2000, but has still preserved the spirit of the highly cultured and literary environment housed there throughout the 20th century. Much of the original furniture is still in place and use. The first floor of the house consists of one living room, one dining room, a combined kitchen and second dining room. A bathroom with shower and bathtub, a washing room and an entré. The second floor has three bedrooms and a restroom. There is a master bedroom, a bedroom and a walkthrough bedroom.
