Sharon and Jane are best friends and business partners. They are experienced in hospitality and had a successful Air B&B in the UK. They have now relocated to France. Sharon is an actor and writer and also a talented interior designer. Jane is a retired nurse and self taught chef and North African cookery lessons are available at the chambre d’hote. The former early 19th century post office in Bugeat is a cosy and welcoming Chambre d'Hote. With four ensuite bedrooms to choose from, two with garden views. In winter, enjoy your included continental breakfast menu in the dining room next to a roaring log burner. On warmer days, enjoy al fresco dining on the patio. The former post office is on a quiet street in Bugeat. Each ensuite bedroom is individually decorated. There are three double bedrooms with office facilities including computer station with USB and USBC ports, and one twin room. A camp bed is available as is a travel cot. The bedding is Egyptian cotton or linen with extra large duvets. Large bath towels and hair dryers are provided. Guests can enjoy the beautiful dining room and lounge with access to a patio area. Free wi-fi is available throughout the building and there is a large TV with international channels.. Please note: We do not have a garage for parking cars or motorbikes. We do however, have an accessible cellar to store bicycles. Please note, we provide several dinner choices including the 3 course Moroccan meal , North African Cookery lessons available on requests. Bugeat is a large village in the beautiful Plateau de MilleVaches area of The Correze. It is popular with hikers, cyclists and walkers. The Chambre D'hote has a secure place where guests can store bicycles, fishing equipment etc .There are several lakes nearby which allow swimming and kayaking. The local forest and the river Vezerre is ten minutes walk from the house. Fishing licenses are available from the Mairie's office. The train station with direct link to Limoges is five minutes walk from the Chambre d'hote. Parking is free throughout the village with two car parks within fifty metres as well as on street parking. The village has an excellent boulangerie from which we purchase our baguettes and pastries. A small supermarket, a butchers, a pharmacy, a garage and a bank. Nearby there is the pretty medieval town of Treigniac. The area is rich in history and is known as being at the heart of the resistance during the second world war.
