Recently renovated ancient village house, with quirky layout and 2 staircases. Additional downstairs toilet in front entrance courtyard. House heating - no central heating/radiators BUT heating is available using either wood burning stoves [ main lounge + bedroom1 ] or plug-in electric heaters [x1 fixed in dining room/ x2 portable for use in bedrooms]. IF wood-burners are used, guests to empty ashes pre-departure [if the ashes have cooled down enough overnight].

Welcome to our family holiday home of 10 years - hosts being Helen, Steve & Elliott [son]. When we are off-site, Natasha is on hand to prep the house for our guests. We chose this location because we have a passion for outdoor pursuits - walking trails, mountain biking, trials motorbiking, wild water swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding and fishing, all of which Peyrat and Haute Vienne can offer in abundance. There is also plenty of Traditional French cuisine on offer in surrounding towns/villages/hamlets with regular farmers markets and brocante fairs too - which many of our family and friends have enjoyed with us. We decided to host our property to share the beautiful location with others, when we are off-site/working.

There is plenty of local commerce in the village centre - Boulangerie, Cafe-bar, Restaurant, Pharmacy, Cinema, Proxi Store and Spar. We have a Village lake - for fishing and swimming/kayaking/paddle-boarding plus access to pedalos / supervised beach in July/August. We are only 5km from Vassiviere - large leisure lake with multiple activities and lots of cafes/restaurants around its perimeter. Only 10-30km from multiple market towns - Eymoutiers [Sat] , Bourganeuf [Weds] and St Leonard [Sat] And 50km from Limoges City - multiple museums, shops and restaurants [Train from Eymoutiers into Limoges and other smallet towns/villages].
