Welcome to our breath of fresh air! Our family apartment is bright, close to amenities, shops and beach, central and pleasant to stay in. Summer in Hardelot is bustling with a multitude of outside activities, (but with a lot less people than in Le Touquet), and in winter the long walks along the beach, the dunes or the forest will expand your lungs with fresh air and offer you amazing and other-wordly landscapes to feast your eyes on.
The apartment is adapted for our family of 6, and you should find most of what you need to cook and entertain as such. We prefer providing you with sheets for your comfort and convenience, as well as ensuring cleanliness, but you need to bring your own towels!
We are an international family of 6. Barnaby is English and Marine is French. Our 4 kids love Hardelot and we try to spend time there whenever we can!
Barnaby's favourite moment in Hardelot: sipping my coffee on the balcony on a Sunday morning watching the world pass by and especially watching crazy french people queing in front of the baker's for there baguette.
Marine's favourite moment: Catching the sunset on her SUP.
The kid's: The special treat after their habitual sandcastle building competitions - in the summer it is artisinal ice cream and in winter it is pancakes from the restaurant underneath the flat.
You will be located slap-bang in the centre of Hardelot; bakeries, restaurants, supermarket, bars/cafés, shops, butcher's, cinema etc are really only a few minutes away on foot. The beach is at the end of the road - we allow our 6 and 9 year-old walk back to the apartment from the beach alone, for example. (Your kids will still need to know how to manage 1 zebra crossing!) The tennis club, equestrian centre, and golf club are not far, but you will probably need a car. The water sports club is equally not far, about 800 metres. There you will be able to try your hand at sailing sports. (Including sand/land yachting - a sport supposedly popularised in Hardelot by Louis Bleriot!)
