B and B Franglaise is our lovely home, in a lovely, tranquil environment. We don't have any restaurants on the doorstep, the nearest is approximately 10 minutes by car. There's a well stocked shop, also 10 minutes away if you need something for tea instead of eating out. We only provide a microwave. Ideal for a family or friends. You have your own private entry into the lounge. We offer a lounge on the ground floor with 2 x 2 seater settees. Log burner for colder months (we provide 2 logs & any more required is at an extra cost). A kettle is provided to make tea & coffee. We don't have running water downstairs but we provide bottled water. Crockery, cutlery & glasses provided. If you eat in, we are the washing up fairies. Theres also tv (in bothFrench& English) & video with videos for you to use. We have 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), & bathroom on the 1st floor. There's a bath with over bath shower, solely for your use. Please be advised that there is a LOW BEAM IN BOTH BEDROOMS. It is a beautiful stone house with a garden and pool also available for you to use, from May until September. It is also our home, so we will be pottering about but we will try not to disturb you.

So we moved into our house in April 2023, so quite new to France. Jp is French & originally from Brittany but he has lived in the UK for 37 years, since we met, 38 years ago. We have 2 sons and a daughter back in the UK with their other halves, 2 grandsons and Penny 🐕. We worked in catering for more years than we care to remember and the last few years, jp as a bus driver , myself, with the local council. We have always talked about a move to France, once the family had flown the nest. When my mum became poorly, we looked after her for a number of years, until she sadly passed in 2021. With no commitments as such and age creeping up on us, we started our searches last year (2022) and here we are in 2023. You will find us pottering about during the day and the evening, sitting in the sunshine with a glass of wine 🍷.

BB Franglaise is in a small hamlet of 9 other properties, 1.5km from Romagne. Romagne has a post office, library and church. There is a bar & well stocked shop in Sommiere du Clan, 10 minutes by car. We are 4.6km away from Monkey Valley, a very popular day out. Civray, on the banks of the Charente river is 14km away and would highly recommend visiting the church of St Nicholas. Its beautiful. Val de Vienne race circuit holds many race days throughout the year, only 36km. Beautiful villages and towns to visit, too numerous to mention. Vienne, charente is a beautiful area to visit with lovely sunny days and during July and August fields full of beautiful sunflowers 🌻. We're approximately 40 minute's from poitiers Airport, 1.5hrs from limoges. About 6 hrs from caen ferry port & a fabulous drive.
