Situated at the foot of the Dune du Pilat, our campsite has charmed generations of holidaymakers in search of human warmth and summer simplicity. Made famous by the cinema: Its fame is largely due to the famous ‘Camping’ film saga, directed by Fabien Onteniente. In 2006, the first ‘CAMPING’ film catapulted ‘Les Flots Bleus’ into the spotlight. The adventures of Patrick Chirac, played by Franck Dubosc, brought laughter to millions of viewers, making the campsite an icon in the eyes of the general public. The film's sequels have continued to anchor the site in popular culture, making the campsite a must-see on your visit to the Bay of Arcachon. The devastating fire of 2022: In July 2022, ‘Les Flots Bleus’ unfortunately fell victim to a fire of devastating proportions. The fire destroyed a large part of the campsite and acres of surrounding forest, triggering a wave of emotion throughout France. The fire marked a sad chapter in the history of our site, which is well known for its conviviality and festive spirit. Since then, we have committed ourselves to rebuilding and restoring the campsite to its former glory, in order to preserve this endearing place.
