The Freeride Republic is run by winter sports enthusiasts who have spent over twenty seasons working and running chalets in the French Alps. The Freeride Republic is now in its 17th full season of operating chalets independently in the Courchevel area. We provide you with an extremely comfortable chalet environment in which you can enjoy a winter sports holiday, in a world-class ski resort, at a very competitive price. The chalet sleeps up to 10 in 5 twin en suite rooms making the chalet perfect for groups of families and adults alike. For a groups over 10, an additional 4 mezzanine beds are available at a supplement The open plan layout of Chalet Himalaya lends itself to socialising. The chalet is perfect for groups and families who enjoy convivial evenings around a large dining table. The chalet has a lovely open plan lounge and dining room with a log fire place, satellite TV, smart tv with streaming services, games console and free Wi-Fi access. Guests will also benefit from an outdoor hot tub and a large sun terrace looking across to the slopes of Meribel in the distance. The views from the chalet jacuzzi extend up into the mountains of the Olympic ski area for an amazing panoramic and sunny outlook. Chalet Himalaya is located 50 metres from the bus stop for the free Meribel ski bus. The resort centre is 450 metres away from the chalet so the world famous après ski venues of Meribel are a short walk away. The central Chaudanne slopes are less than 5 minutes away on the ski bus, giving you easy access to the extensive 3 valleys ski domain. The chalet is hosted by two live in members of staff who reside in a room in a seperate area. Our chalet staff take two days off per week. On one day of your week, typically Day 3, the staff will prepare an evening meal for you that clients will finish off cooking. See sample menu here for further details. On Day 5 typically no evening meal is provided. We will recommend a local restaurant or book one for you in advance in the booking process. There will be two mornings during the week where breakfast is provided on a self-service basis. One of these will be a cooked option which the staff will prepare in advance for clients to cook themselves. Any other catered aspects of the 5 day catered package including wine, cordials and packed lunches are not provided on the two chalet days off.

Guests can also catch the ski bus up to the Morel chair lift which is a 3 minute bus ride from Chalet Himalaya.
