The OVO Network team’s opinion - Chalet La Parenthèse is a modern three-storey chalet for 15, with up to nine bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a cinema room, sauna, relaxation area and outdoor hot tub. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms with balconies, desk areas and en-suite shower rooms. The top floor has five more bedrooms: two doubles with balconies and desks; two flexible doubles/twins also with balconies and desks (one with en-suite), and a bunk room for six children. A bathroom and a shower room complete this floor. Groups of up to 15 who want extra space can also use two further bedrooms and a shower room on the ground floor (please check availability when booking). After a day in the mountains, relax on the huge sofa by the fire, enjoy a film in the cinema room, or let children unwind in the games room. The ground floor also has a sauna and wellness area, ski store, laundry and WC. The garage has storage for skis and bikes, charging for an electric car and space for two cars, with three more spaces outside. Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included. PLEASE NOTE: bedrooms 8 and 9 on the ground floor are surplus to the property's maximum capacity of 15, but if you would like to use them, please inquire at the time of booking. No bookings can be accepted for more than 15 people. PLEASE NOTE: the owners keep an apartment on the ground floor for their own occasional use. It shares the main entrance. PLEASE NOTE: the maximum occupancy of the property is 15 people. In accordance with the fire safety regulations, the property complies with the provisions of the January 31, 1986 decree (later amended) for residential buildings. Therefore, although the property has beds for 22 people, the maximum occupancy of the chalet must not exceed 15 in order for it to comply with the provisions of the decree of 22 June 1990 related to establishments that provide public access.

Whether you're visiting in summer or winter, you'll never be short of something to do at Chalet La Parenthèse, just 4km from Samoëns. The ski lifts connect with the Grand Massif resorts of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, Flaine and Les Carroz, giving you easy access to 265km of great skiing, with plenty of challenges for all abilities. Snowfall is regular and abundant, and there are three jam parks for freestylers. In the summer, there's great hiking and biking in the mountains, as well as watersports on the Giffre river. The Lac Bleu leisure area is a great day out for families – there's a beach area for swimming as well as horse-riding, treetop adventure area, Segway, electric skateboards and much more. Youngsters can enjoy the pump track, play areas, inflatables and trampolines, and trout fishing is free for those staying in the area. The village of Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval, just a 15-minute drive away (10km), is worth a visit – said to be one of the most beautiful villages in France, it's set in a natural amphitheatre of high limestone cliffs. It's also the start of some great white-water rafting and home to a via ferrata course. Those who like gardening should pay a visit to the Jaÿsinia Alpine Gardens, which features plants from mountainous regions across the world.
