We have been originated from Grenoble: Denis as a software and process engineer at HP, practicing mountain and biking activities, Claudie as a teacher very fan of litterature. We have been spending ski break at Valmeinier for more than 20 years with group of friends in a large chalet. We love this place and always thinking about building something over here. Life is a combination of different events, experiences and learning. We used to refurbish appartements and move into a new one and do it again. We learn a lot about decoration. Working at HP I spent a lot of time in hotel rooms all over the world working on projects. Finally taking advantage of an early retirement plan we bring all of that in the 1000 Thabor project: build an architect chalet for a tribe of families and friends with enough space to make everyone comfortable in a cosy place with quality equipement and trendy decorated environment like if it would have been done for ourselves. After our 6th season unanimous guests feedbacks looks to confirm we have achieved our goal.

Forget about narrow appartement where you are packed in a small appartement hearing how happy is your neighborhood ... instead take advantage of a large, brand new, and gorgeous chalet classified 4*. Each bedroom comes with their own bathroom like in an hotel. Kids will enjoy their bunk bed bedroom, parents too! During winter our chalet is ideally located in the heart of the Maurienne Valley within Savoy area in between Mount Thabor and Pic du Galibier mountains. You can practice alpine ski, ski touring, hiking and cycling. The Valloire-Valmeinier ski resort is a large and international ski area. A free shuttle will bring you from the chalet to Valmeinier's slopes after a 5 minutes ride. In addition you may want to go to Val Thorens after a 30 minutes ride to take advantage of the Orelle ski-lift. During summer hikers or bikers appreciate the place with the many trails available or mountain road all around. Do not forget we are just 7 Kms from the col du telegraphe and in the heart of the most famous alpine road from the Tour de France: col du Galibier, Col du Mont cenis, col de la Croix de fer, col du Glandon, lacets de Montvernier, Col de la Madeleine, la Toussuire, Col de l'Iseran, ..... We offer riders a secured garage, a repair stand and you can wash your bike. Our chalet benefits: large living and dining room spaces with very comfortable sofa and chairs and a chimney. Our beds are awesome and you will appreciate them after your daily effort. The kitchen is very well equipped to make any chief happy. Bed and bathroom linen are provided and beds are set for your arrival. A fininish sauna can accomodate 5-6 people. A show dryer is available.You will get as well a dryer and washing machine.
