Geoffroy de Ville d'Avray, a 60-year-old French aristocrat born in Bayeux, and Pietro Chiapponi, a 45-year-old Italian photographer, welcome you to their home at Château de La Ferrière, an estate they acquired eleven years ago. They welcome you as friends, in all simplicity, in the tranquil and majestic setting of the château. You'll be staying with them, but It will also be your home for a while!
Every evening, Geoffroy and Pietro invite you to join them for an aperitif, to talk about the region or the estate, to chat and relax. They'll take care of your comfort and make the details of your stay as easy as possible, calling you a cab or reserving a table in one of the good restaurants nearby. But be warned: the nicest and best restaurants are very popular throughout the season. So it's hard to find a table for the evening. We strongly advise you to reserve your tables in advance by internet or telephone. We have a list of restaurants in the surrounding area at your disposal. Don't hesitate to ask!

Dating from the 18th century and ideally located in a quiet area between the historic town of Bayeux and the D-Day beaches, Château de La Ferrière opens only two Deluxe bedrooms to national and international travellers. If you'd like to rent additional accommodation for a child or teenager traveling with you, we have extra rooms, which cannot be booked online. Please contact us by email for more information.
All along the summer season, the owners Pietro Chiapponi and Geoffroy de Ville d'Avray welcome you in their home with unconventional chic!
The vast rooms and lounges, decorated with family inherited furniture and paintings, or with "coups de cœur" found by the owners in France and Italy, allow you to enjoy magnificent views of unspoiled nature around.
Château de la Ferrière could be your home away from home for a few days. Live at your own pace between your visits to the treasures of Normandy or your round of golf in Port-en-Bessin... And come back to enjoy the swimming pool or an aperitif on the terrace at sunset!
