I opened Chez Providence in 2007. The house is in the center of a calm Medieval Mountain village surrounded by preserved nature in the Cabardès and has been renovated whilst retaining much of its original a medieval of charm and character: beams, stone walls, and wooden floors, and decorated with a mix of vintage and modern furnishings.
It has 4 guest bedrooms with tea and coffee facilities each with a private bath/shower room with toiletries.
There is a communal lounge/dining room where we serve breakfast with homemade bread and croissants and homemade evening meals, which leads to a sunny furnished terrace with a panoramic view over a secluded garden with sun loungers and tables and chairs, and the village green and river with wooded hill beyond.
There is a communal kitchenette with fridge where you can prepare a snack.

I bought the house in 2005 parts date back from before the 8th century and was extended in the 15 century and was part of the ramparts of this Medieval Mountain village. In England I was an interior designer and I have enjoyed using these skills to renovate and decorate retaining many original features; beams, exposed stone walls, and wooden floors and doors.
Ground floor there a guest lounge/dining room with a large fireplace a Tv.
Off this there is a sunny furnished terrace where you can also breakfast (or dine by reservation) which enjoys a panoramic view over the valley with its village green, river ‘Dure’ and woods beyond.
1st floor is a communal kitchenette with guest fridge and ironing facilities.
1st floor landing is a library with children’s books and games.
1st and 2nd floors, 4 individually decorated bedrooms with a seating area (some with supplementary beds on request) tea and coffee facilities with private bathroom/shower rooms.
There is a garden at the rear of the house but as the house is built against the rock, it is accessed by walking around the house. There you will find sun loungers and vine arbour where you can sit in the shade at table and chairs
