Chalet Chocolat is an OVO Network property of 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom for 8 spread over 3 floors, and 170 M2 of floor space. The OVO Network team’s opinion - IMPORTANT: improvements are being made to the property. From January 2023 there will also be a jacuzzi, a games room with pool table and TV corner, a shower room attached to the downstairs bedroom, a ski room and a new terrace to enjoy the sunset. With floor to ceiling windows all around the main living floor, the views, scenery, and weather are as much a part of the internal landscape of the chalet as the furniture! Chalet Chocolat is popular with OVO Network guests, who appreciate in particular the comfort, the decor, the views, and, the proximity to Manigod village, the ski fields, and La Clusaz. Guests staying at the property during Tour de France week have a ringside view, as the chalet is adjacent to the main road. There is no problem accessing the property even in snowy weather, there is quick access to the ski bus, Manigod Village, the Col de la Croix Fry and beyond. With the ski bus stopping almost outside Chalet Chocolat you’ve got the whole of the La Clusaz/Le Grand Bornand ski area at your disposal. Equipment can be hired in Manigod, and there’s a handy ski store back at the chalet. Floodlights on some of the pistes mean you can even ski until 1am in La Clusaz, on certain dates throughout the year, and the weekly torchlit descent is an experience you’ll never forget. Cross-country skiers will find plenty of trails to choose from, and non-skiers are not forgotten, with a heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool, ice skating rink and cinema, as well as sledging, show-shoe walking, dog-sledding and horse-drawn sleigh rides. For the ultimate in winter fun, try paragliding on skis or ski joering – skiing while towed by a horse! In the summer, you’ll want to spend all your time on the beautiful terrace at Chalet Chocolat, and with comfortable sofas, sun beds, a large dining table and a gas barbecue, there’s no reason to leave! But if you can tear yourself away, you’ll find plenty to do in the La Clusaz region. There’s no shortage of walks, from mountain trails to hiking on the Gliéres plateau, the scene of the Resistance’s campaign during World War II. Adrenalin junkies can try paragliding, canyoning, climbing, mountain-biking or white-water rafting - just some of the activities on offer within a few miles of Manigod. Via ferrata is a great family day out, with children as young as eight able to explore the mountains on iron walkways, secured to a harness. Less than an hour from Geneva, and just 30 minutes from the beautiful lakeside town of Annecy, Chalet Chocolat is the perfect year-round base from which to explore the region.
