## The space This 12m² studio has a living room with sofa bed, an open-plan kitchen and a shower room with WC. The living room has a sofa bed for a peaceful night's sleep and a TV for your entertainment. The open-plan kitchen is both fitted and equipped, with hob, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and cooking utensils. Ideally located in the centre, this comfortable studio is perfect for travellers who want to visit the city or relax. Bed linen and towels are provided for your comfort. No private parking is available with the accommodation. However, you will be able to park your vehicle in the streets surrounding the accommodation according to the rates in force in the town. The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, which is available 7 days a week from 10am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 9pm. We thank you for taking care of the accommodation, respecting the premises and the neighbours. It is located right in the heart of the city and is a central location for Rouen's history, architectural heritage and social life. 1. History The Vieux-Marché is particularly famous for its connection with Joan of Arc. It was here, in 1431, that the famous French heroine was sentenced to death and burnt alive after her trial. A small symbolic pyre marks the exact spot where this tragic event took place. This square therefore embodies a large part of France's and Rouen's collective memory. 2. Place du Vieux-Marché The Place du Vieux-Marché is a focal point for life and meetings in Rouen. Today, it is surrounded by half-timbered buildings typical of Normandy, giving the area a unique medieval atmosphere.
