We moved to France in 2018 and fell in love with our house, we felt that because of its tranquil location it would make a ideal destination for a truly relaxing getaway. The Charente has so much to offer, great food and wine, historic towns to explore and stunning rivers to hire a canoe or kayak and while away the day stopping off at quaint villages for lunch. It boasts renowned wineries and cognac houses which offer tasting tours. You wont to able to resist buying a few bottles to take home. The many local colourful markets offer a great range of food and wine, which you can cook at your fully fitted summer kitchen and Bbq. The area offer many safe bike trails.
Myself and my husband Stan are happy to greet you and show you around our property, We fell in love with the beautiful countryside
and the friendly people who have made us so welcome. Stan loves archery and he is more than willing to teach novices archers.
He loves to cycle the many quiet trails taking in the stunning vistas and is happy to take you out for guided tours.
The Charente is steeped in history and has many historic towns to explore, like Angouleme with its ramparts, it has a stunning cathedral and the old town is a warren of antique shops and restaurants. La Rochefoucauld Chateau is beautiful and well worth a visit.
