We decided to leave England and our careers and move to France for a complete life change. When we ( LJ & Fin) drove up the tree lined lane to reach the property La Vergne for the first time, we realised how special the place was and how amazing it could be and once we saw the lake and the land we knew we had to buy it! We live on-site with our daughter and three dogs: Fox, Fern & Darcy and will provide a warm welcome on your arrival. Our aim is to be discreet, however we can advise on fantastic days out and what to do during your stay. We have been busy updating and renovating the gites to create stylish and contemporary interiors to make your stay relaxing and comfortable.

For 2025 all gîtes have been renovated. Heating available in all of them. La Cour is central heated. Les Saules and Le Lièvre have wood burners; allowing for year round rentals. Les Saules and Le Lièvre are pet friendly. All offer the use of a Nespresso machine and music via an Alexa. High speed internet available free of charge. French and English TV stations. All guests can use the Games room- Table Football, Darts, Table Tennis, Pool Table and a varied selection of books and games. Not forgetting the use of the shared heated pool (10×5) with ample space on the terrace for all to enjoy the stunning scenery across our 15 acre estate. Try your hand at swing ball or pétanque in the fields. Guests can wander down to the lake and make use of the wooden boat and row to the other side. There’s also a selection of fishing rods and tackle available, so why not try your hand at fishing whilst on vacation (free of charge). Guests have the use of the shared washing machine that is situated in the Games Room. Complimentary cleaning products provided, and toiletries ( shower gel & hand soap). Bath towels and pool towels provided.

Gites de la Vergne is situated in the beautiful Vienne. Approaching via a tree lined lane, Gites de la Vergne is a beautiful, tranquil and scenic estate. Situated within 15 acres with woodland, meadow, wildlife ponds and a lake with carp. We are a short walk or drive to the beautiful little town of Adriers which is nestled between L'Isle Jourdain with its restaurants and watersports centre and Montmorillon known as the City of Writing. The impressive and famous Val Du Vienne race circuit is only 17km away driving along beautiful country roads. Futuroscope, La Valle des Singes, Terre de Dragons and the many chateaus and beautiful towns and markets are all within a 50 minute radius. Transport links including Poitiers and Limoges airports and their train stations which can get you to Paris within a couple of hours.
