In the heart of the Fontainebleau Forest, come enjoy the area or just chill at our recently renovated Ikigaï cottage. This original space, bathed in natural light, was conceived for good times of calm and relaxation, with its a large fireplace, books, TV, music, children’s toys... The Ikigai cottage has a large ground floor living area built around a fireplace, containing kitchen, eating and living areas that open on large bay windows. You can enjoy a small terrace and a garden. Upstairs there is a cosy bedroom with a double-bed and a single bed, plus an office space and bathroom. Wifi is high speed and the office / bedrom is sound- and light-proof so that some can work or sleep when the others are enjoying downstairs ! For kids, we have some wodden toys and vintage video games (Super Nintendo). The staircase is secured with safety nets.

We are couple with 3 children that live on site. We renovated the cottage in the fall of 2024 to host friends, inseaders and tourists. We will gladly give you some tips to enjoy the forest or restaurants in the area. We do everything we can to make your stay memorable, and offer a wide range of services including pick-up at the local Bourron-Marlotte Grez train station, or breakfast with pastries and bread from the best local boulangeries.

Our village Villiers-sous-Grez is located 12 minutes' drive to Fontainebleau and 5 km from the Bourron-Marlotte Grez train station with trains running every hour to Paris. It’s easy to go for walks on marked paths the nearby forest (e.g. 13). Climbing sites are less than 30 minutes walk away and some of the best spots like Larchant’s Elephant 5min drive / 1 hour walk.
