Luxury self catering gites in beautiful, rural surroundings. Our 3 gites date back to the 16th Century & were part of a former winery which have been sympathetically converted in 2018, providing spacious accommodation with modern facilities. The gites have private terraces with seating & bbq which open onto large communal gardens with 10m x 5m in ground swimming pool. The character stone cottages under clay tile roofs offer much historic interest such as flag stone floors, oak beams, indoor well covered with safety glass, vaulted ceilings & lime washed walls. Accommodation comprises: Le Pressoir - Two first floor bedrooms, both with en suite shower rooms (1 with 180 x 200 bed & the other with 2 single beds). Ground floor - an open plan living room, kitchen & dining area. La Maison du Puits - First floor, a bedroom with 180 x 200 bed & en suite shower room. A bedroom with 3 single beds & sofa. Ground floor, a bedroom with 180 x 200 bed, kitchen/dining room with covered well, sitting room & a bathroom. La Vieille Maison - Three first floor bedrooms (1 with 180 x 200 bed & en suite shower & 2 with single beds), bathroom. Ground floor- kitchen/dining & sitting room.

Mark and Sam were previously based in the UK employed in architecture and property development. We moved to France in 2017 with our two daughters, Millie and Hattie and bought a derelict former winery which we have totally renovated and converted to create our own home and three spacious gites. Please note: for your convenience our rental price includes all bed linen and towels (including pool towels), electricity, water, basic cosmetics and after rental cleaning. We have a large table and 17 chairs to accommodate groups for dining together either outside, undercover or inside depending on your requirements. Set in a quiet rural hamlet on the border of the Vienne and Loire within 2 miles from a town called Monts Sur Guesnes with a restaurant, bakers, convenience store, tourist office, bank, pharmacy etc. The nearby medieval towns of Richelieu, Chinon, Poitiers, Tours and Saumur offer excellent entertainment including chateaux, wine tours, fine dining, zoos, shopping, golf and the amusement parks of Futuroscope and Puy de Fou.
