We located to France in September 2018, and have put a lot of love and passion into renovating this lovely old barn, to make comfortable, stylish holiday gites, for guests to feel at home and enjoy their break. we enjoy lovely walks in the countryside with our two dogs, and visiting the beautiful towns, cities , markets and bargain hunting at local brocantes & markets.

A car or bicycle is essential to when staying at la grange, due to its rural countryside location, Bagnoles de l'orne is 13 miles drive its a stunning town with a lovely lake & wellbeing spa, lots of lovely cafes and places to eat, its worthy of a visit especially the gorgeous chocolate shop, it has a market on a Saturday morning. Le mans is just under an hour away and a lovely city for shopping, eating out and of course the race track, the famous 24 hour le mans race is held in June every year. Chateau Lassey is very picturesque and just under 17 miles away. Laval is a pretty city with a stunning river running through it, nice shops and cafes along with a market on Tuesdays & Saturdays a chance to get some locally fresh produce, such as fish, bread, meats and fruit and vegetables. The local super market is located in the town on Pre en pail just under 10 minutes drive away, and also offers two restaurants, a bar, & a Saturday morning market. Saint Leonard des Bois is a lovely little characterful town to visit just 15 miles away, it has a lovely river running through with river walks, abseiling and canoeing are also available, along with bars and restaurants. Mont Saint Michel is a great place to have a day out for adults and children and only 2 hours drive away.
