Family run, La Pointe Camping has been welcoming camping guests for over 45 years. We have 55 pitches for tents, caravans or camping-cars. If you need holiday accommodation, our Woodland Cabin and 4 Glamping Chalets 'Pods' are available to rent, each with allocated parking close by. Our new hand-built, forest-themed, wooden cabin was built in 2023 by Mike is perfect for couples or small family. At 5x4 metres, it comprises 2 bedrooms - a double bed in one and bunk-beds suitable for 2 children or 1 adult in the other. with a kitchenette/dining room equipped with a table and chairs, 2 ring gas hob, fridge, microwave, washing-up sink, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and heater. It is located in a private, elevated place next to the woodlands. ALL BATHROOM FACILITIES - SHOWERS AND TOILETS ARE IN THE CAMPSITE SANITARY BUILDING, A SHORT WALK FROM THE CABIN/CHALETS. The 3x4 metre, cosy pods are ideally suited for couples, they contain a double bed, table and chairs, fridge, microwave, kettle and heater. A tap is just outside for water. ALL BATHROOM FACILITIES - SHOWERS AND TOILETS ARE IN THE CAMPSITE SANITARY BUILDING, A SHORT WALK FROM THE CABIN/CHALETS. Outside each, is a covered terrace with table, chairs, and a grassed, garden area. Accommodations have bedding, cutlery and crockery provided. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available in the sanitary building. Barbecues are available, free of charge, on request, but don't forget your charcoal! Free wi-fi is available next to the reception area. We have a games room with ping pong, board games and a library. There is a tourist information room where you can find details of places to visit locally. Bikes can be hired, please ask at reception. In high season, (July and August) baguettes and croissants can be pre-ordered (before 6pm the day before) for collection from the reception the next morning (between 8.30 and 10am)

We area quiet campsite located at the foot of the woodlands, just outside Chateaulin on the edge of the commune of Saint-Coulitz. A few minutes drive, 10 minutes cycle or 20 minute walk along the winding canal path opposite our entrance takes you to the picturesque town of Chateaulin with its many cafes, restaurants and bars. It also boasts a tourist information centre, post office, cinema, bakeries, pharmacies, supermarkets, clothes and gift shops allowing you to buy groceries, memorable gifts or stock up on the essentials (yes there are also several wine 'caves'!) . A weekly market on Thursday mornings boasting fresh local food produce including fish, meats, cheeses, hot food, fruit and veg among other things and is a regular meeting place for locals and tourists alike. Many social/festival events are held during the summer months including the annual fireman's ball with live music and food ending in a stunning firework display. Others include an annual fair, organised cycle races (big in France) with competitors from all over the world, musical evenings with traditional Breton sounds and dancing, outdoor cinema, and children's entertainment.
