We are a Irish/French family living in Bayons for 3 years All are welcome to our apartment. We have a room with a comfortable double bed, that also has a bunk bed available in the room for friends or familys. We can offer supplies when needed. The closest town is Sisteron where further supplies can be acquired, about 30 minutes away where you can visit the old town and the beautiful citadelle. The house is the old bar and restaurant of the village and is about 200 years old
We love meeting new people, we have a passion for eating, hiking, fishing and animals.
There is a beautiful church only 100 meters away. Beautiful hiking trails. A river flows through the village, it is very cold but perfect for a summer swim. Canyoning is also possible as a neighbor do that during summer with groups of people. There is a restaurant in the next village Turriers, about 20 minutes away. A local bakery truck comes twice a week, wednesdays and sundays. Everything is baked in a wood oven. Serre-ponçon is about 45 min drive. Its one of the biggest lake in Europe.
