We have 4 large air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms set in a wonderful landscape. A generous breakfast is included in the price, we also have table d'hote by arrangement. As a Chambres d'hotes there are no catering facilities for Guests. Domaine de Fleurie, is a restored 18th century farmhouse set in the village of Tursac on the Vezere River in the Périgord Noir , known for its castles, landscapes and gastronomy. The pool and terraces lookout over the valley, towards Chateau Marzac and the amazing sunsets. It is in the perfect location to explore the history and culture of the Dordogne region. The Vezere valley is a UNESCO heritage area filled with many prehistoric sites. The Lascaux caves at Montignac, the National Prehistoric Museum at Les Eyzies and the medieval town of Sarlat are all close by. From mid July to early September we will serve the breakfast on your terrace or in the room, the main dining room is closed. Please note 2023: There may be restrictions imposed by the Government or Local Authorities about the use of water for swimming pool maintenance. The pool may need to be closed if water use is restricted. This is beyond our control and cannot be compensated for.
Julie and Chris moved to the Dordogne region in 2019 after a 2 year search for the perfect property. We look forward to welcoming guests to this beautiful part of France. As a Chambres d'hotes there are no self catering facilities. Guests can relax in the wonderful scenery around the property or venture out to the many historical, cultural and culinary delights of the region.
Tursac is in the centre of the Dordogne's golden triangle of Sarlat, Montignac and Les Eyzies. In Tursac we have the Abri de la Madeleine, an archaeological site dating back 17,000 years set on the banks of Vezere River. La Maison Forte de Reignac is a fortified house built into cliffs. Prehisto Parc is 5 minutes away, an educational trail explaining our origins from Neanderthal to Cro-Magnon. Chateau Marzac opens as a tourist attraction in July 2020. There are many more sites to visit within 10- 30 minutes drive, including the Dordogne River with it's magnificent castles.
