Traditionally the life of the district is organized around the Place des Chartrons (5 mins from the apartment) which offers 360° bars and restaurants and a small covered market. But also the Rue Notre Dame (2 mins from the apartment) where you can find second hand goods dealers and independent designer stores. Not to mention the mythical Chartrons market on the quays (in front of the apartment) every Sunday until 2pm. It's the perfect place to have lunch in the open air. Since the great renovation project of the Chartrons two new areas of interest attract the Bordeaux inhabitants: the quays of the brands for shopping. and the halles de Bacalan which is a fabulous covered market in front of the Museum La Cité du Vin.
