"La montée de loyasse" is a small street perpendicular to Trion Street, which is the main and commercial axis of the Saint Just district. it is an area classified building of France. The district is built on a "pass", between the hills of Fourvière and Saint-Irénée. It constitutes an access to the west Lyon plateau. In the Roman period, the district was only fields, but the circus (with stands made of turf grass) and mausoleums were built there. In the Middle Ages, this town was located between the walls of the city of Lyon and the chapter of Saint-Irénée, barons of the place. The place was home to the church of Saint-Just which housed a few popes including Celestin V. Today, the district of Saint-Just is a residential area. One can see in particular the remains of the Saint-Just church, destroyed, and the church of the Maccabees. The thousand students of Saint-Just High School, Jean-Moulin College and preparatory classes at CPE, participate in the life of this district.
