OUR ASSETS : village house with private pool and garden - 2 bathrooms - 2 WCs - beds made on arrival - linen provided - free wifi - quiet - shops nearby Its 90 m2 have been redesigned to combine authenticity and modernity, combining the warmth of wood, the grey hues of concrete and the minimalist lines of metal. The rest is all about light. The house faces due south, nestling between a small garden refreshed by a concrete and mosaic pool (1.80 m x 4 m) and a small courtyard that resembles a patio. The living room and fully-equipped open-plan kitchen stretch across the front, under the whitewashed beams. A long utility room and a toilet complete the ground floor. Upstairs, two double bedrooms (parquet flooring) with views over the garden (1 double bed (140cm) and 1 double bed (160cm) - possibility of extra bedding for 1 child), 2 large showers, 1 WC. This house is the perfect place to recharge your batteries. From the house, you can enjoy beautiful walks in the Alpilles and, for golf lovers, the 18-hole Manville golf course is a 5-minute drive away. Avignon TGV station is just 30 minutes away. A pre-authorisation of 800 euros will be made as a deposit (secured, not debited).
When, at the end of its little cul-de-sac, we discovered it, abandoned, left to its own devices and overgrown with vegetation, we were immediately captivated by its authenticity, its historic position in the heart of the village, and the possibilities it offered us for embellishing it and bringing it back to life. We were going to combine the stone with concrete and metal, in just the right proportions, to create a dialogue between materials, tones and light. No breaks, no decorative overload. A vision of true Provence, of the soul of a village, to be lived inside and outside, between its centuries-old walls, under its bright sky and blazing sun. Jean and Marie: two house enthusiasts who love architecture. They've spent their lives making plans for the future... and from time to time, here and there, in pretty corners of the world.
