Company information
Once cultivated by the Romans, a centuries-old bastide, a beautiful park adorned with fountains, and a traditional wine-tasting cellar — welcome to Château Barbebelle.
Between Aix-en-Provence and the Luberon, Madeleine and Valentin Premmereur work hand in hand, supported by a wonderful team, to maintain a 100% independent production. The 50 hectares of vineyards, classified under the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, are planted at an altitude of 400 meters, in the heart of 300 hectares of stunning natural landscape. The entire estate is certified organic (Agriculture Biologique).
For four generations, production has been carefully managed on-site — from the vines to the cellar, bottling, and sales — giving the estate its genuine authenticity.
Château Barbebelle is also a charming and lively place to experience Provençal life: concerts in the park, an organic vegetable garden, a pétanque court, and beautifully renovated houses facing the vineyards, available for weekend or weekly stays.
Since 2025, Château Barbebelle has also been hosting weddings and private events in the heart of the property, surrounded by vineyards and lavender fields.
We will be delighted to welcome you and share our local tips for discovering the authentic Provence: traditional markets, the hilltop villages of the Luberon, festivals, and of course, the rich gastronomic and wine heritage of the region.
Come and discover our semi-detached Provençal house (78 m²), accommodating up to 5 guests, nestled in the wing of a 16th-century bastide at the heart of an authentic wine estate.
Here, you’ll enjoy a truly unique setting — surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, and the rolling hills of the Luberon, just 16 km from Aix-en-Provence.
Open your windows to a breathtaking view over the vineyards.
Relax in the shade of centuries-old chestnut trees, lulled by the gentle murmur of the fountain.
