Lands once farmed by the Romans, a centuries-old bastide, a beautiful tree-lined park dotted with fountains, and a traditional tasting cellar: welcome to Château Barbebelle.
Between Aix-en-Provence and the Luberon, Madeleine and Valentin Premmereur work hand in hand—supported by a fantastic team—for a fully self-sufficient production. Fifty hectares of vineyards in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation are planted at 400 m elevation amid 300 hectares of magnificent natural surroundings. The entire estate is certified organic (Agriculture Biologique).
For four generations, the production has been managed in-house—from the vines to the cellar, through to bottling and sales—giving the estate its thoroughly authentic character.
Château Barbebelle is also a charming place to live and gather: concerts in the park, an organic vegetable garden, a pétanque court, and above all, lovely renovated houses facing the vineyards available to rent for weekends or weekly stays.
Since 2025, Château Barbebelle has also been hosting weddings and private events in the heart of the property, set against the vineyards and lavender!
We’ll be delighted to welcome you and share our tips for discovering authentic Provence: Provençal markets, the hilltop villages of the Luberon, festivals, and of course the region’s rich food and wine culture.
