The building is the native house of Pierre-Paul Riquet, born here in 1609. He was the architect of the Canal du Midi, connecting the Mediterranean to the Atlantic Ocean, which was the world's biggest construction project of the 17th century. The apartments range from studios to two-bedroom apartments.
