I am the Danish owner of the villa in the mountains behind Cannes and three apartments in Cannes. My family and I have lived on the Cote d'Azur for more than two decades and we are still loving it. The lifestyle of the south of Europe is very addicting, maybe especially for people like us from the North. You live your life outdoor and even in the winter we are lucky to get days where we can make a BBQ and have lunches outside. All year around we play tennis, run or track in the mountains or by the coast. Or on a lazy day we enjoy ourselves with a glass of rosé in the sun. Grasse is the mother village for all the perfumes in the world that we know of today - it is where it started, includes the famous Chanel No 5 where the flowers are collected on the hillside of Grasse. There is so much History in Grasse: From Napoleon marched with his tropes through Grasse, you can follow in his footprints on Route de Napoleon. The Rothschild family enjoyed staying in Grasse together with friends and family in the various castles - and they lived in our villa too. Queen Victoria stayed at her Victoria Castle. You will find some of the worlds best shopping along with the beautiful beaches in Cannes. The amazing nature of Provence with the beaches, mountains, lakes, trekking path through areas you would not believe existed. From the villa you have the stunning sea views all the way from Monaco to Esterel Mountains. The Villa was built for the Duke of Valence and later the holiday home for Alice de Rothschild.
