Come and recharge your batteries in this simple, bright modern wooden house with double exposure, a lovely garden, open land and great views down the valley. You will have a spacious bedroom (15m2) with a large en-suite bathroom. Situated in the heart of the Ariège Regional Nature Park in a peaceful setting, it's a perfect base for a quiet retreat or for exploring the region's wild mountain valleys, lakes and rivers and countless sightseeing spots. The house is located in a quiet hamlet on the outskirts of the village of Rimont, 15 minutes from Saint-Girons and 30 minutes from Foix. If you are arriving by bike, I am just 5 minutes off the Voie Verte that links up Foix and Saint Girons. Built from logs in 2012, the house is modern and keeps cool in summer and warm in winter. There is a large open-plan living area with a sitting room, books, audio system, dining room and kitchen. There are also two covered outdoor terraces with dining areas - one in front of the kitchen which catches the morning sun, and the other next to the living room which bathes in the afternoon sun and incredible sunsets!

For even deeper relaxation during your stay, you can enjoy a massage available on site ! I am a fasciatherapist practising myofascial release, and I offer sessions on site in a hut next to the house. Ariège is one of the most unspoilt regions of France, where nature is wild, easily accessible and a real paradise for walkers, runners, cyclists, skiers, fishermen and nature and mountain lovers. From the house, there is easy access to the valleys of Couserans / Tarascon and Andorra as well as to the hilly piedmont region. There are countless wild lakes and rivers in the mountains and close to the house, where you can swim or cool off on hot, sunny days. For local produce and crafts, there are farmers' markets every day of the week in the area. In the summer months there are many festivals, dances, and cultural events.
