Situated in the quiet village of Thiat. Plenty of off road parking. Downstairs there is a living/dining room with all amenities to sit and relax or watch TV, read or book or play a board game. Kitchen has all you need to make a meal or simply keep your drinks cold. A small suntrap courtyard off the kitchen where you can take your morning coffee sat in the sunshine. Up stairs are 3 spacious bedrooms, ideal for a family. One room has 2 single beds, one room a double bed and the last a king size bed. All equipped with hair dryers for your use. There is an information booklet to help you find out what's in the local area and all the house rules. Welcome hampers are available on request at an extra charge.

We have run a chambre d'hotes for the last 3 years successfully and are now opening the Thiat guest house. We live in Darnac - close by and are easily contacted for anything you may need.

The Thiat guest house is next door to the Tete De Tauraux Bar- a quiet village bar which serves food and drinks 6 days a week. Ideal if you don’t feel like cooking. There are many restaurants and eateries in the area. All listed in the guest book. Your in the middle of rural France and all around is full of wildlife, if your lucky you will see Deer and Boar and many different types of birds, ideal place for an avid ornithologist. The Braume is 10 minutes away and a beautiful walk by the river. Many people like to swim here in the warm summer months. The area has lots to offer, there is the medieval historic town of Le Dorat just 10 minutes’ drive. Where you can find supermarket, chemists, bakery and much more. Also, Bussiere Poitivine again 10 minutes’ drive. Here you can sit and have a cold beer or wine and watch the world go by.
