Another gem which is within throwing distance is The Billy Can Cafe with its retro sweet shop and gifts. The cafe serves up terrific breakfasts along with a lunch menu that includes dishes like fresh crab sandwiches and a hearty Ploughman's Platter. But there’s no getting away from the fact that Torcross is all about its beach, and what a beach it is! Looking positively Mediterranean on a bright, blue-sky day, its waters are clear and calm and just right for kayaking, swimming or windsurfing (if conditions are right).
